We love telling the stories of Scottish designers and entrepreneurs and this project was another chance to work closely with a very talented textile designer.
Art, design, fashion, tradition – Araminta Campbell weaves all these strands together to create beautiful contemporary tweed and tartan textiles. The looms are vintage, the designs are modern, the final product is handwoven luxury.
It was a pleasure to create a suite of films for her new website to bring to life the different aspects of her work.
We filmed all over Scotland, from wool mills in the Borders to her childhood home in Aberdeen to her stunning studio in Leith where they hand-weave garments from the finest alpaca wool.
We didn’t get a chance to meet the alpacas themselves but maybe next time…
